Ten Months

So it may seem that this has become Obie's blog because the last 5 or so posts have been about his monthly updates. This blog was created for our supporters with whom we have spent the better part of the last 3 months, as we were in the states. I aspire to get back into the blogging rhythm as soon as I get back into the rhythm of living in Uganda. Don't hold your breath. But seriously, I will get the rhythm.

Anyway, Obie is ten months old and I am starting to break out in cold sweats when I think about him turning a year old. I guess I am just as cliché as every other mother out there, "Where has the time gone?" Enough of that, lets roll the beautiful baby photos.

Clothes are definitely overrated these days when humidity is 75% and there is just so much baby chub to behold.

As you can see the humidity is having other effects as well. The curls are coming out in force on this beautiful strawberry blond head. You guys, I have tried to comb out the unruliness just to see if I could but I think he is trying to identify with his fellow Ugandan (or maybe Grandpa Bruce's genes are coming through, you decide).

Obie has beautifully mastered the point and wants you to notice everything in his little world. Kyle and I only got a little embarrassed when on the plane he pointed and grunt at total strangers. It is cute for like 20 seconds but when you are getting close to a minute you start trying to distract him.

Obie did really well on our flights over, he slept for 9 hours on our 12 hour flight. The second leg was a bit more challenging for us because he wanted to be entertained but he was still very happy. He seems to remember our house and some of our friends here as he has been very pleasant despite the jet lag we are facing.

Obie loves being read to and may even bring us books for him to read. His facial expressions keep us smiling and his love of people is evident.  We continue to be so proud of our little man!
