About a week ago my mom and brother arrived in Uganda and we have been enjoying every minute together. You would think I would be posting more on the blog with them here but in my free time (that has increased greatly since my mom got here) I would rather hang out with them than write a blog post. I am so glad to have them here not just because my mom has been cooking and doing dishes and loving on her grandson, but because it is so nice to be with family, laughing and enjoying each other's company. I promise that I will be posting more pictures of their time here but for now I just have a few.
Mimi meeting her grandson for the first time.
Obie sleeping on Mimi while we are out to lunch.
These men are enjoying much time and conversation together.
In the last few weeks Kyle has had two elder meetings that have been really encouraging. The Lord is uniting this group of leaders and causing them to stand together as they lead UCF. Being that the students have left for their break there are some more open seats at church than normal. Kyle's duties however remain the same if not increase during this season. Obadiah continues to grow at great speeds and was 11 pounds 5 ounces when he was weighed last week. This Thursday he will be seven weeks old and it seems that he grows and changes each day. Obie has been regularly giving us a 5 hour chunk of sleep each night and then going back down for another couple of hours after that. He smiles readily and loves to practice new sounds.
