On Sunday UCF celebrated eleven years as a church. Kyle and I had to opportunity to be here last year when they celebrated their tenth anniversary and we hope to be a part of many more to come. To celebrate, we had a special service with an African theme, special guests, performances, and of course, a cake cutting!
The choir was looking great in their African attire. We loved hearing and worshiping the Lord in a few different African languages.
Many people that had been a part of UCF at its beginning attended the service.
We got to hear testimonies of how the Lord has used UCF in the lives of many.
The children and some of the ladies in the choir did some traditional dances.
I know you all wanted to see the cake cutting so here you go:
It was a great day of celebration and rememberance. Deuteronomy 8 was the theme for the service, which is when Moses calls on the nation of Israel to remember the work of the Lord and all that he has done. It is good to take time to remember the Lord's faithfulness to his people. We tend to forget this, and so to take time to hear about the work God has done and is doing is a tremendous blessing. We are filled with joy to be here in Uganda at UCF to have the opportunity to participate in the work of the Lord.
