Happy Easter!
We just got back from church and we will have a small lunch to hold us over till we cook steaks for dinner tonight. Because we did not know where to get a good ham and since we just got back from retreat yesterday afternoon we decided to have steaks, mashed potatoes, corn and veggies for our Easter Dinner with the four of us tonight.
Church was very special today being that it is Easter and because it was the last day in the church's tent. UCF has been meeting in the green and white stripped tent for the last 8 years or so. Currently, construction is underway and the church continues to raise funds for their new, permanent building. It was a great day to celebrate our Lord's resurrection with so many new friends and family here in Uganda.
There is your one last look at the tent, it should be down in the next few days.
We were so glad to go on the church retreat this last weekend it was really beneficial in relationship building and get to know people. There were just over 100 people from the church that went.
On Thursday night Kyle taught on Reconciliation and Unity out of Ephesians 2:11-22. On Friday, Trey spoke on about what ministry is. A few other leaders from UCF led sessions as well.
During some free time on Friday, the boys played soccer while Erin and I hung out with the girls and attempted to jump rope with them, but just ended up watching people swim in the lake. Lake Victoria is so big! I kept expecting to see a ski boat come across the water but all we saw where men paddling in some small fishing boats.
We know many were praying for us this weekend and we are so thankful for that. The Lord is teaching us and opening doors for us to meet more and more people.
