Catching Up

Our visitors have come and gone and I have failed to keep this blog updated. For the last week or so the three of us have been staying alone in this house for the very first time, it is the definition of bitter-sweet. SO SWEET are the times that our family of three has together. Yet a bit of bitterness can creep in as we are remembering anew that we live far away from our dear families... saying goodbye to my mom and brother and then to Kyle's parents a few weeks later has not been fun. Erin and Trey are in the states for a few more weeks and they are enjoying their time there.

Lets catch up with some pictures we have taken over the last few weeks:

Kyle got to take his dad on several errands into town and the best way to get around downtown is by boda (motorcycle taxi). Here is Bob with one of our most trusted boda drivers, Godfrey.

Obie will stand/sit in this "Johnny Jump Up" but for a while his preferred way to use it was as a swing that papa Bob would push.

The next three pictures were taken on Bob and Debbe's last day here. We went to one of the most fancy resorts here and walked around their gardens and then went to a restaurant nearby that looked out onto Lake Victoria. I forced some photos while we walked around a bit.

Three generations of Fox men

I fondly remember reading books with my grandma as I grew up and I am so thankful that Obie got the opportunity to read books with both of his grandmas over the last two months.  It is a good thing both his grandmas can read :)
