We had to say goodbye to Mimi and Chris early Friday morning and that really was not fun at all. It was SUCH a blessing to have them here loving on us and loving on Obadiah. I cannot express the ways the Lord used them to lift us. Having them get to see our lives here and meet our friends really was wonderful. I was particularly encouraged to have my mom here as she spoke into my life and gave me more confidence as a new mother.

While my mom was here we discovered that Obie really likes to spend time sitting in the corner of our couch during some of his awake time. It is funny how it almost instantly calms him down if he is fussy. While in his corner Obie would just love to have Uncle Chris come and talk at him. As you can tell from this picture, we are progressing really well in the area of chubbiness. At nine weeks Obadiah weighs 13 lbs 13 oz.
We are eagerly looking forward to Grammy and Papa Bob's (Kyle's mom and dad) arrival on Tuesday night for some more sweetness.
Awe...I had tears in my eyes reading this. I know how much of a help and encouragement it is to have your mom with you when you have a new baby and I am so glad you get to have both your mom and Debbe there with you. You are doing a GREAT job and I have loved being able to talk with you and write as you are trying to figure this whole baby thing out. It's definitely not easy. Love you guys!
